Roman Red Bed tiles are a good alternative for flooring and similar in finish to traditional quarry tiles that were made at manufacturers like Platts and Dennis of Ruabon for many years.
Traditional quarry tiles were extruded and have the characterful irregularity seen in many properties across the UK.
They are very hard wearing and do not require sealing due to their being fired hot enough and long enough to make them almost fully vitrified (< 3% water absorption).
The roman sizing allows for the creation of Victorian Basket Weave bond.
