Dennis of Ruabon Heather Brown quarry tiles were exceptionally popular before the original factory closed in 2008.
These are newly manufactured tiles made in a factory 5 miles from the original site using a clay recipe and manufacturing method almost identical to the original.

We are using original Dennis of Ruabon dies, clays that are chemically very similar to the Hafod quarry clays and creating kiln conditions that replicate how Dennis of Ruabon would have made these tiles for 130 years.
We found the last works manager and the main person responsible for production enabling us to fill in the blanks as to how these were made originally along with a lot of historical slueth work.
They are very hard wearing and do not require sealing due to their being fired hot enough and long enough to make them almost fully vitrified (< 3% water absorption)
