This 15mm thick brick slip is an extruded dark brown engineering style finish.
This style suits well to commercial building installations where function over form is more in keeping or where you are looking for crisp straight lines.
If this slip is being used on large south facing elevations it is wise to increase the frequency of movement joints. As it is dark in colour it has a greater tendency to absorb heat from the sun and therefore expand more. It is of course good practice to use regular horizontal and vertical movement joints in any brick slip application where there are long runs of bricks just as would be included in traditional brick laying.
As with all straight edged regular products you should seriously consider a system because if you 'free-hand' or use packers/spacers it is very easy to get poor alignment of the courses.
