What are Quarry Tiles?

Quarry tiles, as made traditionally by Dennis Ruabon, Daniel Platts and Hawkins, are very hard wearing flooring tiles suitable for internal and external high traffic applications. They typically were made as squares but rectangular shapes are now more often made as you can create more interesting laying patterns.

We supply three standard sizes and can manufacture imperial sizes if required. The standard sizes are as shown in the image.

Quarry Tile Specials

There are a range of special shaped pieces to enable you to achieve a more complex design than by just using the main three shapes. This can be anything from “step treads” to give more grip on the leading edge of steps through to “covings” for a smooth transition on vertical upstands.
